Networking is the action or process of interacting with others to exchange information and develop professional or social contacts as defined by the oxford language dictionary.

The technology space has picked up with a line of “Networking” as one of the keys for being successful in your tech journey.

The spirit of Networking opens the door easily when well maximized.

Many times, we apply for the best of the opportunities but we end up possibly not getting because someone has networked well such that the folks as being considered on the basis of Networking well (REFERRAL, RECOMMENDATION).

As much as there are many opportunities in the technology space, the growth is faster when you connect or network with others at different of growth successful.

This does not rule out the space of being qualified for the opportunities, no one will recommend quack or unskillful folks for opportunities.

How do we build Networks?

1. Attends events, ask questions, exchange contacts
Be interested in what others are doing and how they are doing it.

2. Join communities that are doing what you are interested in
All the big tech companies now run communities search on Google
Check meetup, Eventbrite for such kinds of information.

3. Be strategic in your online post, try to catch people’s attention.
That’s so rewarding

4. Celebrate others’ wins, congratulate them repost, retweet, share, like, comment.
