from growth to impact

Meet Israel, Google IT Specialist | Google Web Mobile Specialist

In 2012, I joined the technical team in my church called (Communication Crew), we are responsible to project the church services and set the engines for services. We are a team of about 5. I joined the team after the successful completion of my diploma in Computer studies across MS packages (Ms. Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

I wanted more after computing beyond projecting the church services but other information was available about computing.

As a member of the technical unit, We are part of the media team and working force for the creation of the church website.

We did all the interviews for data gathering and to be uploaded on the church website through the webmaster working on the project.

The impression of how he(webmaster) was communicated with high esteem shows there is something interesting about computing.

The impression was longer during the launching of the church website by invited guests and church members, that was a picture that there is money in TECH smile…..

I became so interested in Technology programs only based on my prior observations and engagement.

I started out by studying Computer Software Engineering at a technical polytechnic. It was a huge and best foundation citadel for getting started with the technology as a career path, not just a schooling experience.

During the 2 year program, I could not raise fund for a good system but got a Latitude Dell Laptop (old version). The most annoying part of the system is the cooling fan makes a lot and disturb everyone, the system is also very heavy.

It was hard time learning experience………

Internet was a core of the challenge for learning, I could only afford MTN #20 and #25 Night data of 250MB of 12am to 4:30am daily with my noise making laptop.

Most time, my parent are aware earlier enough because of the funny noise my system generates. I am not aware they are awake because I am always on earphone learning and coding.

I continue learning and attending tech conferences, meeting people.

During the process, I develop my first web solution for an organization in Lagos ( A student management system), I got the paid of #100,000.00.

What did you think I change first?, oh, you mentioned the noise making laptop. exactly, I got a brand new system from my first gig in tech. I was so happy

Afterwards, check out for tech stories part 2 shortly.

Thanks for reading….
